Hello, my friends. I hope you are having a lovely day.
I am doing well, and I am feeling particularly grateful this week.
Last weekend, I went down to south Georgia to attend the 90th birthday celebration for one of my aunts. I saw another aunt and a number of cousins I had not seen in many years, and that was good.
I had forgotten that my aunt had inherited my grandparents’ dining room furniture. I grew up next door to my grandparents, so when we went to her house… seeing that table and chairs and the cabinet… It brought back a lot of sweet memories and the sadness that so often accompanies them. I thought about sitting there at the table eating fried chicken, biscuits, and blue butter beans. (I don’t particularly care for blue butter beans, and I have never seen them for sale anywhere, but I my grandparents had those more frequently than the green ones, so I always associate them with being there.)
I feel grateful that I got to see so many relatives, and that I got to see that furniture again for the first time in twenty-five years. Yes, I am the highly sentimental sort.
Afterward, we went further south. My brother rented a gorgeous house at Panama City Beach in Florida. We spent three days splashing in the ocean and eating seafood. I am grateful because I cannot afford such a vacation. Night and day from what my life was like this time last year.
And I do love the beach. We went a fair amount when I was a kid, and once I was in high school, I drove down to Pensacola with friends every weekend. On most occasions, I went to the beach, though not always into the water, of course. Typically, the trips went in order like this: comic book store, beach, mall, game store, home by 2:00 AM. (I’m ashamed to say that sometimes I used my dad’s Chevron card to get dinner at the service station after spending all my money on comics.)

My Process For Getting Posts Out On Time
Here is the method I use:

Yep. Clearly, I don’t have a system for that in place yet, but I’m working on it. The first method I tried to stay on track didn’t work. I’ll getting better at it, and I appreciate your patience as I figure this out.
What I’m Working On
Now that I’m finished with Gadda Bisby’s Grail (on its way soon), the majority of my focus will be on planning Outworld Ranger 6 and revising Storm Phase chapters.
Next Week
I will release the final chapter of Gadda Bisby’s Grail on Tuesday and another post about how I plan Outworld Ranger books on Thursday.
Wednesday will see the first Storm Phase chapter featuring Turesobei as the viewpoint character. If you read the previous version of these books, then I think you will enjoy the new versions. Wednesday’s chapter, in particular, should be quite the treat.

Hi.... While I am really eager for Storm Phase, I wanted to ask about the Paladin series. I have not heard any updates or even a mention.
Hi, Zaineb! Haven’t heard from you in a long time. I hope you are doing well.
There will be more Arthur Paladin. As it happens, I created a planning sheet for the series last night. I hope to get another book out in that series early next year.
