It’s moving day at last.
As you read this, my friends, I am loading things into a U-haul for the new house Aubrey and I are renting (along with my mom). The new place has been cleaned thoroughly. And almost all of the small things and books have already been moved. Today its mostly furniture, heavy furniture. I’m already using the heating pad for sore muscles, so I’m probably cranky and sore right now.
I’m happy to be moving. Not just because we’ll have more space, and our own space. But over the last week, someone here (not Aubrey) let my inside-only cat out, and it took some effort for us to recover him. This stressed me out a lot. We have coyotes, cars, and bobcats close by, and I lost a lot of cats on the farm growing up. Also, someone here (again not Aubrey) carelessly used tools around my large desk, the only thing not yet moved out of my tiny office room here, and scratched the glass top. To say that I was angry about it is an understatement. That desk carries a lot of sentimental value. I am so ready to be out of this place.
Writing
I found Outworld Ranger book six notes that I had forgotten about. I can’t believe I had forgotten about them. It’s been such a crazy year. Luckily it wasn’t anything major or anything that affects what I’ve written and planned so far. These notes are about events in the middle to three-quarters mark of the book.
Acting
I just picked up three more auditions that I need to film next week. Including my first audition for a lead role in a full-length feature film! That brings me up to 11 auditions so far and puts me on pace for doing 50 this year. I’m excited by these opportunities, and I feel like my acting skill has improved significantly with each audition.
Next Week
In addition to auditions, Iwill be doing a lot of sorting, resting, reading, and at last some writing again. Not being able to write with so much going on tends to make me… disgruntled, very disgruntled.
Best wishes,
David Alastair Hayden
