Once again this is a late Chaturday Post because I’ve been writing hard today. My brain is fried, y’all.
Today I uploaded the second chapter of the revised Chains of a Dark Goddess on Substack. I meant to post it earlier this week, but honestly, I lost track of what day it was. This is a thing that happens to me. Ask my new dentist. Or rather don’t, because I never made it there… three weeks ago?
All of the Chains chapters will be available for you to read on Substack. But if you want to receive them in your inbox, you’ll need to go to your Typing Cat Dispatch settings. There you can sign up for which posts you want to recieve as newsletter posts and which you only want to have available on the site. (I sent the wrong links for this last week. Oops.)
Writing continues on Outworld Ranger 6: Protocol SLK-001. It’s going to be epic. I’m going to be working on a Silky chapter this week. Those are always fun and challenging. There are a lot more Silky chapters this time.
Here’s a picture of my writing desk. This is where I plan chapters and write their first drafts. It’s also where I play my solo-rpg campaigns. My office is a small room upstairs in the house I rent along with Aubrey and my mom. I have three writing spaces crammed in here! I’ll show more shots next time.
By the way, the comics on the wall are not necessarily valuable. In fact, most aren’t of any special value. They are sentimental, representative, and often signed. My dad bought me the Daredevil issue. He didn’t read comics. He didn’t read anything except the newspaper. He stopped for gas one day and bought the comic for me off the rack because he knew I read and collected them. A small gesture that made it, for me, the most valuable comic in my small collection. You can grab one on like it on eBay for a few bucks.
I have a couple of favorite characters. I’m not giving any hints 😂
Also on the wall is the first superhero comicbook I ever purchased, right off the magazine shelf at the Winn-Dixie.
Reading
The Shining and the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition Player’s Handbook. That’s right, I’m kicking it old-school this week.
Watching
We finished Cross and then watched Fallout. Cross was really good, and Fallout is amazing. What a great dystopian sci-fi series!
Listening
Unchanged. Metal by Unleash the Archers. The three latest albums. Whenever Ghosts in the Mist pops up, I get up and do biceps curls and dance around to get my blood flowing. And when I say dance around, I mean flail like an idiot dancing 1980’s style.
