I'm not typically one to make “my bests of the year” lists or statements or to make New Year's... Declarations of intent? No, that not it. Ugh. It's embarrassing when you can't think of the right word and words is your job.

I usually do my end of year reflections on Groundhog's Day, since that's my birthday eve. That makes it more fun. I like to watch Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and think about how my life is going. In the past, I would do two evaluations each year. One on Groundhog's Day and another at Dragon Con. I went to Dragon Con for twenty-ish straight years, until marriage chaos arrived.

Exciting News

I'm moving to a new house! Aubrey and I will no longer be renting two rooms inside someone else's house. We are renting a house ten minutes away from where we live now, and my mother is joining us.

Mom’s rent has increased by thirty-two percent over the last three years. Yes, you read that right. We wouldn't be able to afford this place without her help, and she’s going to to be saving a lot of dough.

The layout of the house gives us all a lot of personal space so that we can escape from one another if we start to feel crowded. This is important since Mom is retired and Aubrey and I both work from home.

Acting

I will soon be filming auditions seven and eight for a short film project that is sci-fi in nature.

Writing

I've done some good writing work. Not as much as I'd like because of the holidays and a lot of house hunting hoopla. There was more hoopla than there should have been.

Resolutions! That's the word 🥴
